The GMC Acadia received many updates for the 2020 model year. In addition to the returning engine options (A base four-cylinder engine and optional V6 engine) the 2020 GMC Acadia can now be equipped with an available, turbocharged, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine which generates 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

A new trim level, AT4, has been introduced for 2020 as well. This trim level is equipped for off-road travel and comes installed with hill descent control, all-terrain tires and all-wheel drive. This trim removes the third row of seating in favor of reduced weight and additional utility. If desired, the third row can be added back as an option.
